Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information TCM-0113
Condition
Line pressure solenoid SLS regulates the line pressure in the transmission. The solenoid is controlled by power stages at the output on the transmission control module (TCM).
The transmission control module (TCM) uses the power stage to control the current to the solenoid. A low amperage results in a high line pressure. A high amperage (approximately 1 A) results in a low line pressure. The amperage is primarily affected by the throttle position.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the transmission control module (TCM) registers an open-circuit in the circuit for solenoid SLS. Solenoid SLS cannot then control the line pressure.
Substitute value
- Emergency program Emergency mode 3 in the transmission control module (TCM) has been initiated.
Hint: Emergency mode in the event of a fault Emergency Mode In the Event of A Fault
Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Open-circuit in the cable for the control signal or signal ground
- The solenoid does not function
- The transmission control module (TCM) is not functioning.
Fault symptom[s]
- General warning lamp lit
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit
- No lock-up function
- Harsh gear shifting.
Hint: Harsh gear shifting can be caused by:
- No request for torque limiting to the engine control module (ECM) when shifting
- No line pressure solenoid SLS control. This results in constant maximum line pressure.
