Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information TCM-0075
Condition
To prevent the gear selector inadvertently being moved out of position P, there is an electrically controlled lock function (shift-lock).
A permanent magnet is installed on the shutter for the gear selector. The magnet influences a hall sensor located on the printed circuit board in the gear selector assembly. The task of the hall sensor is to detect whether the gear selector is in position P or N.With the ignition off and the brake pedal not depressed, the function blocks the gear selector interlock pin in the interlock section, locking the selector lever in position P.To move the gear selector from position P, the ignition must be switched on and the brake pedal depressed. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the transmission control module (TCM) discovers that the signal is too high to the solenoid for the gear lock (shift-lock).
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- There is a short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable to the solenoid for gear lock (shift-lock)
- Internal fault in the transmission control module (TCM)
- Internal fault in the gear selector module (GSM).
Fault symptom[s]
- No fault symptoms.
