Erasing diagnostic trouble code (DTC)

Hint: The transmission control module (TCM) has registered an internal fault. The fault may be intermittent, which is why the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) must be erased and read off again.




- Ignition on
- Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.

- Ignition off
- Wait two minutes to allow time for the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) to be stored in the memory for the transmission control module (TCM)
- Ignition on
- Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.









Is diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-0049 still stored?

Yes - Replacing control module and programming

No - DONE

Replacing control module and programming
The transmission control module (TCM) has registered an internal fault.

Caution! A new control module is delivered without software. The control module must be programmed in order to function after replacement.
