Replacing the component
The steering wheel module (SWM) has registered that the current through the LEDs for the steering wheel angle sensor is too low.
The steering wheel angle sensor is integrated in the steering wheel module (SWM) and cannot be replaced as a separate unit.
If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults may be due to interference at start up of the control module or may be a different type of fault which occurs on different occasions. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. Replace the steering wheel module (SWM) if the fault recurs.
Replace the steering wheel module (SWM) in the event of a permanent fault:
