Condition
The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) is continuously supplied with necessary information from the Central electronic module (CEM) via CAN communication. Supplemental restraint system (SRS) checks the communication with the Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No message indicating ignition switch position.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 10 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code can only be diagnosed when voltage is on (12 V). The diagnostic trouble code can only be diagnosed when voltage is on (12 V). In other words, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched from position 0 to positions I, II or III.
