Checking the component








- Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds.
Check the components, cables and connectors in the occupant weight sensor (OWS) system for damage.
Remedy as necessary.
Check that the components in the occupant weight sensor (OWS) system are correctly installed.
Remedy as necessary.
If no fault is found, replace the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

Note! After replacing, or checking and adjusting, the pressure sensor and the occupant weight sensor (OWS) module in the occupant weight sensor (OWS), calibration of the occupant weight sensor (OWS) must be carried out.

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.




- Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
- Disconnect the battery negative lead
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Connect the battery negative lead. Wait 10 seconds.

Warning! There must not be anyone inside the passenger compartment when the battery is connected.

If the fault is intermittent, the fault has been remedied.
