Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the occupant weight sensor (OWS).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers an internal fault in the signal cable for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

- None.

Possible source
- Damaged belt tension sensor.
- Short-circuiting to ground/voltage in signal line or in connectors between belt tension sensor and Occupant weight sensor (OWS).
- Open circuit in signal line or in connectors between belt tension sensor and the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

Fault symptom[s]
- SRS indicator lamp lit
- PAD lamp lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
