Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the occupant weight sensor (OWS).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers an internal fault in the signal cable for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

- None.

Possible source
- Damaged occupant weight sensor (OWS).
- Short-circuiting to ground/voltage in the signal line or connectors between components in occupant weight sensor (OWS).
- Open circuit in signal line or in connectors between components in the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

Fault symptom[s]
- SRS indicator lamp lit
- PAD lamp lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
