Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the driver's seat belt (inertia) reel sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers an internal fault in the seat belt (inertia) reel sensor for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Hint: The seat belt (inertia) reel sensor is installed in the same unit as the seat belt tensioner. To replace the seat belt (inertia) reel sensor, replace the seat belt tensioner.
