Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the rear right side impact sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers faulty communication in the signal cable for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Possible source
- Open-circuit or contact resistance in the signal cable or in the connectors between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the rear right side impact sensor
- Open-circuit in the rear right side impact sensor
- Damaged side impact sensor, which means that there is no communication between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the side impact sensor.

Fault symptom[s]
- SRS indicator lamp lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
