Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the passenger airbag switch.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a current outside permitted range in the signal cable or an internal fault in the switch.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II and III.

Possible source
- Open circuit on signal cable.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors.
- Short-circuit in signal cable.
- Fault in the switch for the passenger airbag.
