Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the passenger airbag switch.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a configuration fault in the signal cable for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (12 V). In other words, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched from position 0 to positions I, II or III.

Substitute value
- Passenger airbag is deactivated.

Possible source
- The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) identifies that the passenger airbag switch is installed, despite the control module being programmed that a passenger airbag switch is not installed.

- PAD lamp lit.
