Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the driver's seat position sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a configuration fault in the signal cable for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (12 V). In other words, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched from position 0 to positions I, II or III.

Possible source
- If the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) identifies that a driver's seat position sensor is installed, despite the control module being programmed that a driver's seat position sensor is not installed.

- The information lamp is lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
