Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the driver's seat belt buckle.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the voltage in the signal cable is too high for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to the power supply in the signal cable or in the connectors between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the driver's seat belt buckle.

Fault symptom[s]
- The information lamp is lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
