Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the adaptive seat belt force limiter for the passenger.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the resistance in the ignition cable is between 1-6 ohms for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (12 V). In other words, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched from position 0 to positions I, II or III.

Hint: The adaptive seat belt force limiter is installed in the same unit as the seat belt tensioner. To replace the adaptive seat belt force limiter, replace the seat belt tensioner.

- If the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) identifies that an adaptive seat belt force limiter for the passenger is installed, despite the control module being programmed it is not installed.
