Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the passenger seat belt tensioner.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the resistance in the ignition cable is too high for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

- None.

Possible source
- Open-circuit or contact resistance in the SRS ignition cable or in the connectors between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the passenger seat belt tensioner
- Open-circuit in the passenger seat belt tensioner (the resistance is too high in the igniter section).

Fault symptom[s]
- SRS indicator lamp lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
