Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the driver's adaptive seatbelt force limiter.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the voltage in the ignition cable is too high for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Hint: The adaptive seat belt force limiter is installed in the same unit as the seat belt tensioner. To replace the adaptive seat belt force limiter, replace the seat belt tensioner.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to power supply in the SRS ignition cable or in the connectors between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the driver's adaptive seatbelt force limiter.

- General warning lamp lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
