Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the tensioner for the driver's lap belt.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a short-circuit in the ignition cable for the tensioner for the driver's lap belt to an adjacent ignition cable for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Possible source
- Short-circuit in the ignition cable between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the tensioner for the driver's lap belt to one of the other ignition cables connected to a collision protection system, such as an inflatable curtain, side impact protection system, seat belt tensioner, passenger air and driver airbag.

Hint: This fault can only occur if there is a short-circuit between at least two signal cables from different collision protection systems and/or ignition stages. Check which collision protection/ignition stage has this fault type.
