Condition




The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the driver's seat belt tensioner.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the resistance in the ignition cable is too high for longer than 2.5 seconds.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Open-circuit or contact resistance in the SRS ignition cable or in the connector terminals between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the driver's seat belt tensioner
- Open-circuit in the driver's seat belt tensioner (the resistance is too high in the igniter section).

Fault symptom[s]
- SRS indicator lamp lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
