Condition
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the central electronic module (CEM) on the CAN network.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) does not receive CAN signals regarding the status of the PAD lamp from the central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

- Problem on the CAN network in the form of an open-circuit or a short-circuit in the CAN cables
- Damaged central electronic module (CEM).
