Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-0002

Condition
The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the driver information module (DIM) on the CAN network.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module does not receive CAN signals regarding the status of the SRS indicator lamp from the driver information module (DIM).

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can also be generated if the ignition has been turned on without the vehicle having registered an approved key.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Possible source
- Problem on the CAN network in the form of an open-circuit or a short-circuit in the CAN cables
- Damaged driver information module (DIM).

- General warning lamp lit
- SRS warning message displayed.
