Checking switches




- Ignition on.
Check that the handle is not damaged. Check that nothing prevents the handle from returning to its normal position (for example, dirt or ice). If the handle is damaged: remedy after consulting the customer.
Check the function of the switch in the door handle, right front by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol. Then pull the front right door handle outward to its limit position.
The value for the door handle should be Activated when the handle is pulled outward.

Fault-tracing information
The keyless vehicle module (KVM) has previously registered a fault but the fault no longer exists. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is probably caused by an intermittent fault or the handle has been held out for an unusually long time. If the fault recurs, fault-tracing according to this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) must be carried out despite there being no found fault symptoms. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs.

Checking the wiring




- Ignition off.
Check the cable between the keyless vehicle module (KVM) and the right-hand front door handle switch. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check the function of the switch in the right front outer door handle by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol. Then pull the door handle outwards.
The value should be Activated when the handle is pulled out.
