Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information HCM-2285

Condition
Headlamp Control Module (HCM) checks software in the control module.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The software is faulty.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Start-up of the control module.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.





Substitute value
- Limited functionality in the Headlamp Control Module (HCM) (Limp-home).
- Shortest headlamp range will be used.

Possible source
- Incorrect internal parameter file.

Fault symptom[s]
- Text window and warning symbol/Text message
- Headlights/Headlight aim is off
- Headlights/Vertical adjustment not influenced by steering wheel
