Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information HCM-2281

Condition
Headlamp Control Module (HCM) receives information about current vehicle configuration from Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Vehicle configuration from central electronic module (CEM) is lost.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Activated control module.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- Limited functionality in the Headlamp Control Module (HCM) (Limp-home).

- Fault-trace in transmitting control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- Text window and warning symbol/Text message
- Headlights/Headlight aim is off
- Headlights/Vertical adjustment not influenced by steering wheel
