Internal Fault
Internal fault
Programming/replacing the control module
- Ignition off.
The electrical power steering module (EPS) has registered that the control module is lacking software or contains incorrect software for the present car profile.
If the fault is intermittent it means that it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can occur due to a number of different reasons. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. If the fault recurs, try downloading new software to the electrical power steering module (EPS). If software cannot be downloaded or new software does not solve the problem, replace the electrical power steering module (EPS) and download the relevant software to the new control module.
In the event of a permanent fault, try downloading new software to the electrical power steering module (EPS). If software cannot be downloaded or new software does not solve the problem, replace the electrical power steering module (EPS) and download the relevant software to the new control module.
Remedy as necessary.
