The infotainment control module (ICM) display must be lit.

Does the display light?

Yes - Checking communication with the infotainment control module (ICM)

No - Checking the power supply and ground for the infotainment control module (ICM)

-------------------------------------------------

Checking communication with the infotainment control module (ICM)

Hint: The CAN communication with the control module is OK if the control module ID can be read off. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was probably stored by an intermittent fault in the wiring and could be more difficult to find.

- Try to communicate with the infotainment control module (ICM) by reading off the control module ID
- Click on the symbol for VCT2000 to begin reading off

- Ignition off.
Check that the fuse for the infotainment system in the fusebox in the engine compartment is intact. Also check the subsequent circuit. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Check that the fuse for the infotainment control module (ICM) in the central electronic module (CEM) is intact.
