Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-DE01
Condition
The central electronic module (CEM) checks the communication with the brake control module (BCM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers that communication with the brake control module (BCM) is not operating.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnoses with the ignition on for at least 10 seconds and battery voltage greater than 8 volts.
Note! In the event of CEM-DEXX diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) being stored, the central electronic module (CEM) must not be replaced; the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates a communication fault in the CAN network!
Substitute value
- No ABS function.
Possible source
- No power supply to the brake control module (BCM)
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Open-circuit in the wiring for the CAN high speed network to the brake control module (BCM)
