Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-DD11
Condition
Hint: The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are included in a larger fault-tracing for the symptom Starter motor not running.
When the ignition key is inserted in the ignition switch, the key in switch is closed. The central electronic module (CEM) then tries to check the identity of the ignition key through a message to the start control module (SCU) to activate the antenna around the ignition switch. The control modules form part of the start inhibiting system.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM), when attempting communication, does not receive an answer from the start control module (SCU).
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Open-circuit in the power supply to the start control module (SCU)
- Open-circuit in the communication cable to the start control module (SCU).
