Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-AFE1
Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) receives signals from tire pressure sensors in the wheels via the remote receiver. The messages sent out by the sensors contain the air pressure for each tire, the sensor's ID-number and the voltage for the sensor's internal battery. The sensors are activated when the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h (12 mph).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Vehicles on the US-market are configured without system for tire pressure warning (TPMS).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Control module programmed with incorrect vehicle configuration.
