Faulty Signal
Faulty signal
Checking the status
- Ignition on.
Activate the right-hand turn signal lamp by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.
Note! The turn signal lamp in the door mirror is not activated using this function.
Check if the fault is permanent or intermittent.
The right-hand turn signal lamp must light on activation.
The fault is permanent if the right-hand turn signal lamp does not activate.
If the right-hand turn signal lamp is activated, this is an indication that the fault was present previously but that it is not active at the moment, i.e. the fault is intermittent.

Checking the component and wiring
On 5-door models:
Check the voltage on the right-hand headlamp connector terminal #1 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the right-hand turn signal lamp is activated.
Check the control signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Take readings between:
- Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #E39 (#39) and right-hand headlamp connector terminal #1.
Check the voltage on the rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #3 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the right-hand turn signal lamp is activated.
Check the control signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Take readings between:
- Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #C10 (#10) and rear right-hand lamp housing connector terminal #3.
On 4-door models:
Check the voltage on the right-hand headlamp connector terminal #1 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the right-hand turn signal lamp is activated.
Check the control signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
