Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-8C11
Condition
Note! On vehicles equipped with function for daytime running lights the relay supplies voltage to the front fog lights instead of the daytime running lights. Troubleshooting should be done in the same way.
The central electronic module (CEM) powers the front fog lamp relay via an output. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers that the power consumption at the output is too high.
The relay for the front fog lamp must be activated for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) to be stored.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key positions I and II.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable to the front fog lamp relay.
- Damaged fuse.
Fault symptom[s]
