Over heated

Checking the status




- Ignition on.
Click the VCT2000 symbol to activate the blower fan 100 %.
Check if the fault is permanent or intermittent.
The fault is permanent if the blower fan does not activate.
If the blower fan is activated, this is an indication that the fault was present previously but that it is not active at the moment, i.e. the fault is intermittent.

Check the voltage supply level to the blower fan.
Take readings between:
- Blower fan connector terminal #1 and ground.
If the voltage exceeds 19 volts, the blower fan stops.
Remedy as necessary.

Checking the wiring








- Ignition off
- Connect the breakout box to the central electronic module (CEM)
- Start the engine.
Check the 30-supply to central electronic module (CEM) terminal #E27 (#27) and #D10 (#10). The voltage must not exceed 15 volts at 2,000 rpm.
Also check that the battery is not over-charging.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Start the engine.
Read off the 30-supply by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
Check whether the value is within the permitted range, the normal value when the generator is loading: 13.0-14.5 V.





Is the value OK?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED

Checking the wiring








- Ignition off
- Connect the breakout box to the central electronic module (CEM)
- Start the engine.
Check the 30-supply to central electronic module (CEM) terminal #E27 (#27) and #D10 (#10). The voltage must not exceed 15 volts at 2,000 rpm.
Also check that the battery is not over-charging.
Remedy as necessary.
