Condition
The central electronic module (CEM) stores the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) if the circuit for the battery temperature sensor is short-circuited to supply voltage or if there is an open-circuit in the circuit.
Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be diagnosed with the ignition in positions I or II.
Substitute value
- The battery temperature is + 55° C.
Possible source
- Contact resistance in the control module connector
- Open-circuit in the signal ground cable
- Open-circuit or short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- Damaged battery temperature sensor.
Fault symptom[s]
- The battery discharges.
