Condition
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers a short-circuit to battery voltage in the fuel level sensor circuit or an open-circuit.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key positions I and II.
Substitute value
- The fuel level is set to zero.
Possible source
- Damaged fuel level sensor.
Fault symptom[s]
- The trip computer displays an empty fuel tank too early
- Fuel level reading faulty.
