The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are included in a larger fault-tracing for the symptom Starter motor not running.
Add the symptom and fault trace according to Checking the start system.
If this has already been carried out, continue fault tracing.

Checking the ignition switch
- Click on the VCT2000 symbol.
- Check that the status of the ignition switch corresponds to all key positions.

Checking the wiring
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the start control module (SCU) connector.
Check the signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Take readings between:
- Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #A30 (#30) and start control module (SCU) terminal #1
- Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #A42 (#42) and start control module (SCU) terminal #2
- Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #A17 (#17) and start control module (SCU) terminal #3.
- Central Electronic Module (CEM) terminal #A15 (#15) and Start Control Unit (SCU) terminal #5.
Check the fuse for the Start Control Unit (SCU).

Remedy as necessary.
