Fault-tracing information
Ensure that the function of the vehicle's equipment and buttons correspond.
- Read out the IDs of the buttons by pressing the VCT2000 symbol.

Note! As the buttons can be placed in any position in the tunnel console (without internal order). The position of the buttons must be taken into account when fault-tracing with VCT2000. The button that is located to the left in the switch, tunnel console, corresponds in VCT2000 to no. 1 or no.3, depending on vehicle model. The switch to the right has number 2 or 4.

C70: Read off information about lower switches no. 3 and no. 4.
Other models: Read off lower switches no. 1 and no. 2.
- Remedy as necessary.

If no faults are found, install new software in the Central electronic module (CEM).
After downloading new software into the central electronic module (CEM), the new software must also be downloaded into the climate control module (CCM).

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol. Check that the relevant diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has switched status from permanent to intermittent fault.

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
