Condition
Note! The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) applies only to cars with dynamic stability and traction control (DSTC).
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be stored incorrectly if the ignition is turned to position II using a key from another vehicle.
The steering wheel module (SWM) transmits a signal via CAN to the brake control module (BCM). The signal indicates whether the steering wheel angle sensor is functioning correctly or not.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the brake control module (BCM) registers that the signal from the steering wheel module (SWM) is absent.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.
