Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-0096
Condition
The Body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC) provides the Brake control module (BCM) with information about the lateral movement of the vehicle and the lateral and forward acceleration.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Incorrect version of Body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC) installed.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- Body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC) for AWD is installed in a vehicle with 2WD and transaxle MPS6.
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.
