Checking the cable
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector for the rear left-hand treble loudspeaker/upper loudspeaker.
- Disconnect the 16-pin connector for the audio module (AUD).
Hint: Both the treble loudspeakers and left-hand rear loudspeakers are connected on the following signal cables. For further information, see the wiring diagram.
Check the cable terminals in the female and male sections of the connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the signal cable between the Audio module (AUD) terminal #B4 and the treble/upper loudspeaker terminal #2, left rear. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Check the signal cable between the Audio module (AUD) terminal #B12 and the treble/upper loudspeaker terminal #1, left rear. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check that there is sound heard from the loudspeakers for the audio module (AUD) by trying the FM/AM radio, CD or MD player.
