Fault tracing ECM-P013600
Checking components
Caution! Do not apply rust solvent spray or grease to the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector.
Check the rear heated oxygen sensor connector (bank 1). Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Try a new heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) if the above fault-tracing does not remedy the fault.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After repairing, it is necessary to check that the malfunction has been fixed.
- Test-drive the vehicle on road and make sure that a fuel shut-off is performed. Easiest to do this by driving approx. 80 km/h and suddenly release the accelerator pedal for at least 5 seconds.
- Connect VCT2000 to the data link connector without turning off the engine.
Note! If the engine is turned off, the stored trouble status will be erased and the test-drive will have to be repeated.
Read off the diagnostic status and trouble status for the diagnostic trouble code.
Check that the diagnosis is "Implemented" and that the trouble status is "No malfunction found". If the trouble status is "Malfunction found", this indicates defective function.
