Checking the starter motor

Checking the starter motor
Check the brush holders, brush springs and carbon brushes for the starter motor. Check for wear.
Check the commutator for the starter motor. Check for dirt, blockages etc.
Check the starter motor bearing. Check for play.
Try a new starter motor if no fault is found as above.
Remedy as necessary.
