DESCRIPTION:

Water intrusion in the EHPAS unit may create HS CAN disturbances resulting in warning lights / messages and a no-start condition. DTC U013100 (Lost Communication With Power Steering Control Module) may be stored in the CEM.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

Improved surface treatment and sealing has been introduced. The sound insulation cover has temporarily been deleted in production until proper sealing is verified.

SERVICE:





If a HS CAN disturbance is confirmed to be caused by the PSCM. replace the EHPAS unit. If the unit is equipped with a sound insulation cover, do not re-use it. Discard it, see attached drawing.

Note that this instruction is an interim solution and will likely be updated in the near future.
