Parameters, status

Pinch sensor Left/Right

Note! Clamping sensors are not found on vehicles manufactured after structure week 200948.

The parameter shows the status of the pinch sensors.
Possible status:
- Invalid value
- Pressed in
- Not pressed.

External handle
The parameter shows the status on the tailgate's external handle.
Possible status:
- Pressed in
- Released.

Close button, tailgate
The parameter shows the status of the tailgate close button. This button is on the underneath of the tailgate.
Possible status:
- Pressed in
- Released.

Sensor, fully closed
Parameter shows if the tailgate is in the fully closed position (active) or in the open position (not active).

Sensor first lock position
Parameter shows if the tailgate is in completely closed position (active), in first lock position (active) or open tailgate (not active).

Last affecting cause
The parameter describes the last cause why the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) stopped the opening or closing phases.
Possible status:
- Open, activated from driver's seat or key
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected an activation, open, from the Light Switch Module (LSM) or key during the opening or closing phases.
- Open, activated from the Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM)
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM) has requested opening during the opening or closing phase.
- External handle
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the outer opening handle has been affected during the opening or closing phase.
- Close button, tailgate
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the liftgate closing button has been affected during the opening or closing phase.
- Anti-pinch sensor
One of the anti-pinch sensors for the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the liftgate is blocked, which stops ongoing activation.
- Angle sensor
The angle sensor in the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the liftgate is blocked, which stops ongoing activation.
- Low voltage
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected voltage below 10.5 V and shuts down its functions as this voltage can damage components.
- Overheating protection
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks its components so that they do not become too hot. If there is a risk of the components becoming too hot, the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) shuts down its functions for a limited time.
- Lock not unlocked
The vehicle was locked when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- High voltage
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected voltage above 15.5 V and shuts down its functions as this voltage can damage components.

- Hydraulic motor overheating protection
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the hydraulic motor has been subjected to high currents during the opening or closing phases.
- Hydraulic motor Relay jammed
The relay for the hydraulic motor jammed at activation.
- Open circuit or short-circuit to ground, control valve
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the control valve's circuit is open or short-circuited to ground.
- Temperature above +85 °C
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) registered a temperature above 85 °C and then shuts down its functions to prevent damaging the system.
- Angle sensor damaged
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the angle sensor is damaged and therefore cannot open nor close safely.
- Anti-pinch sensor damaged
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that one of the anti-pinch sensors is damaged and therefore cannot open nor close the liftgate safely.
- Vehicle speed above 1 km/h
The vehicle speed exceeded 1 km/h when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- CAN communication error
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected a fault on the CAN network, which means that the liftgate cannot open nor close.
- Incorrect vehicle position
The vehicle was in incorrect vehicle position when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- Incorrect ignition position
The vehicle was in incorrect ignition position when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.

The parameter describes the last activation of the liftgate.
Possible status:

Non approved opening, cause
The parameter describes the last cause why opening the liftgate was refused. The parameter is only updated if the liftgate was opened using the external handle.

- Invalid voltage
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected voltage outside the range 10.5 V to 15.5 V and shuts down its functions as this voltage can damage components.
- Damaged angle sensor
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the angle sensor is damaged and therefore cannot open nor close safely.
- Liftgate blocked
The angle sensor or anti-pinch sensors for the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) have detected that the liftgate is blocked, which prevents the liftgate from opening and closing.
- Incorrect angle value
The angle sensor has reported an incorrect angle value on the liftgate, which means that the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) cannot open the liftgate.
- Max. angle
The angle sensor detects maximum angle on the liftgate, which means that the liftgate is already open.
- Invalid vehicle angle
The angle sensor has reported an invalid value for the vehicle angle, which means that the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) cannot open the liftgate.
- Temperature above +85 °C
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) registered a temperature above 85 °C and then shuts down its functions to prevent damaging the system.
- Control valve shorted to battery
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the control valve has short-circuited to battery.
- Hydraulic motor. open-circuit or short-circuit to ground
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the hydraulic motor's circuit is open or short-circuited to ground.
- Overheating protection
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks its components so that they do not become too hot. If there is a risk of the components becoming too hot, the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) shuts down its functions for a limited time.
- Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) deactivated
If the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) detects that is it installed on an incorrect vehicle or that the car config file does not correspond with what the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) expects, the unit and its functions deactivate. There may also be a fault in the control module's software which means that the control module deactivates itself.
- Hydraulic or closing motor active
If the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) detects that the hydraulic or closing motor is active, liftgate opening will not be approved.
- Incorrect vehicle position

The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was in shutdown phase when liftgate opening was activated.
- CAN communication error
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected a fault on the CAN network, which means that the liftgate cannot open nor close.
- External opening handle jammed
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the external opening handle has jammed and the liftgate cannot be opened.
- Liftgate close button jammed
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the liftgate close button has jammed and the liftgate cannot be opened.

Non approved closing, cause
The parameter describes the last cause why closing the liftgate was refused. The parameter is only updated if the liftgate was closed using the external handle or with the external close button on the liftgate.
Possible status:
- Not available

- Lock not unlocked
- The vehicle was locked when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- Invalid voltage
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected voltage outside the range 10.5 V to 15.5 V and shuts down its functions as this voltage can damage components.
