DESCRIPTION:
A Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) investigation has determined that it may be impossible to upgrade the navigation system with new maps* due to software errors in cars affected by this Service action.
*please note that the new Map data will be distributed to registered Map Care Customers by mail starting sometime during the 1st quarter of 2012.
The affected cars have been manually marked in QW90 with a chassis number list. There might be cars within the limitations in the header above which are not affected by this action.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
VCC has decided that all cars, concerned by this Service Action, shall be upgraded in accordance with this document, at the first service opportunity.
SERVICE:
Download software 31285187 - IAM upgrade with VIDA at the first service opportunity.
Note!
In some rare cases the download of the upgrade may stop due to prior Software downloads that have been performed.
If this should occur, the solution is to download software 31285186 - IAM reload.
This must only be claimed in these rare cases.
