DESCRIPTION:
Volvo Cars of North America LLC (Volvo) has decided to conduct a voluntary safety recall on a certain limited number of model year 2010 - 2011 XC90 V-8 vehicles.
Volvo has identified that power steering oil may leak from the oil pipes on the steering gear (rack). This oil leak could occur gradually and may slowly drain power steering oil from the system resulting in noise and a gradual decrease in power steering assistance. In a worst case scenario this condition may lead to a sudden and complete loss of power steering assistance.
SERVICE:
The corrective action is to replace the steering gear oil pipes per the\ attachment.
