Exhaust manifold/gasket, cylinder 2, 4, 6 and 8 (bank 2), replacing

Removal

Removing the front sub-frame
Remove the front sub-frame. See: Sub-frame front, replacing, B8444S Service and Repair.

Removing the right-hand drive shaft
Remove the right drive shaft. See Drive shaft right, replacing, B8444S, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC .

Removal of exhaust manifold, cylinder 2, 4, 6 and 8 (bank 2)





Remove:
- the 2 M6 screws of the support bracket for the exhaust manifold in the oil sump
- the connectors from the heated oxygen sensors and detach the lead from the clips and clamps.




Remove 8 M8 nuts at the exhaust manifold flange toward the cylinder head.
Lower the exhaust manifold.
Remove the exhaust manifold gasket. Scrap the gasket.
When replacing the exhaust manifold, transfer the heated oxygen sensors. Use 999 5543 SOCKET NV-22 HO2S 999 5543 Socket NV-22 HO2S. Tighten as specified: Tightening torque, B8444S Tightening Torque.

Installation

Note! To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see: Flanged joint, assembling Removal and Replacement.

Installation of exhaust manifold, cylinder 2, 4, 6 and 8 (bank 2)





Install:
- a new gasket
- the exhaust manifold
- the 8 nuts. Tighten as specified: Tightening torque, B8444S Tightening Torque.





Install:
- the 2 M6 screws of the support bracket for the exhaust manifold in the oil sump; tighten
- the connectors to the heated oxygen sensors and the lead in the clips and clamps.

Installing the right drive shaft
Install the right drive shaft. See Drive shaft right, replacing, B8444S, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC .

Installing the front sub-frame
Install the front sub-frame. See: Sub-frame front, replacing, B8444S Service and Repair.

Check
Start the engine and check for leaks and proper function.
