Engine mount, front, replacing

Special tools:
999 5460 Lifting hook 999 5460 Lifting Hook
999 5716 Reading off tool 999 5716 Reading Off Tool

Removal

Preparatory work

Remove:
- the oil filler cap
- the upper engine casing by pulling it straight up. Fit the oil filler cap.

Removing the air cleaner (ACL) inlet pipe





Remove:
- the bolts, x2
- the air cleaner (ACL) inlet pipe

Removing the protective cover under the engine





Remove:
- the bolts, x6
- the protective cover under the engine.

Removing the bolts to the lower torque rod




Remove the 2 x transmission screws for the lower torque rod.

Removing the engine pad




Remove the lower screw for the engine pad.

Removing the bolts to the torque rod




Remove the 2 x screws by the suspension turret on both sides.

Installing the lifting tool





Caution! When lifting the engine ensure that the lifting eye does not scratch the torque rod. Tape the torque rod and keep it away from the eye.

Install lifting tool 999 5716 Reading off tool 999 5716 Reading Off Tool converted with kit 999 7070 Mounting 999 7070 Mounting and lifting hooks 999 5460 Lifting hook 999 5460 Lifting Hook. Raise the engine approximately 20 mm to relieve the load from the engine pad.

Removing the engine pad, continued





Remove:
- the upper nut to the engine pad, x1
- the bolts to the engine pad bracket, x3
- the bracket
- the engine pad with the protective plate.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque, B8444S Tightening Torque.

Installing the engine pad

Caution! When lifting the engine ensure that the lifting eye does not scratch the torque rod. Tape the torque rod and keep it away from the eye.

Install:
- the engine pad with the protective plate
- the bracket
- the 3 x screws for the engine pad bracket loosely
- the upper nut for the engine pad loosely. Lower the engine.
Install the lower M10 screw for the engine pad.

Fitting the bolts to the lower torque rod
Install the 2 x transmission screws for the lower torque rod. Tighten. See: Tightening torque, B8444S Tightening Torque.

Installing splashguard under engine

Install:
- the protective cover under the engine
- the bolts, M8 x6.

Removing the lifting tool
Remove the lifting tool 999 5716 Reading off tool 999 5716 Reading Off Tool , kit 999 7070 Mounting 999 7070 Mounting and lifting hooks 999 5460 Lifting hook 999 5460 Lifting Hook.

Installing the engine pad, continued

Tighten:
- the 3 x M10 screws for the engine pad bracket
- the M10 upper nut for the engine pad.

Fitting the bolts to the torque rod
Install the 2 x M10 screws, by the suspension turrets on both sides.

Installing the air cleaner (ACL) inlet pipe

Install:
- the air cleaner (ACL) inlet pipe
- the 2 M6 screws.

Finishing
Remove the oil filler cap.

Install:
- the upper engine cover
- the oil filler cap.
