Disconnect the negative battery lead. Refer to: Battery disconnecting and connecting Battery Disconnecting and Connecting


Remove the following items:
- side panel. Refer to: Side panel loadspace Side Panel Loadspace
- seat cushion. Refer to: Seat cushion, rear seat Seat Cushion, Rear Seat
- seat bolster. Refer to: Side pad Side Pad





Torque: Safety belt retractor rear to body, 40 Nm

Detach the connector. Refer to: Igniter wire connector Igniter Wire Connector





Torque: Safety belt retractor rear to body, 40 Nm

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check the seat belt function. Refer to: Seat belt function, check Testing and Inspection.

Carry out an inspection. Refer to: Supplementary restraint system (SRS), inspection Testing and Inspection
