Resetting the service reminder indicator (SRI) (Illustrated Version)
Hint: It is also possible to reset the service reminder via VIDA vehicle communication.
The service reminder indicator is intended as a means of informing the driver that it is time to service the vehicle.
Tip: An explanation of ignition positions is shown below.
Ignition mode 0
Insert the remote key in the ignition slot.
Ignition mode I
Press the remote key into the ignition slot and press START/STOP ENGINE.
Ignition mode II
Press the remote key into the ignition slot and press START/STOP ENGINE for approx. 2 seconds.
Carry out the following procedure to reset the service indicator:
1. With foot off the brake pedal, insert remote key into ignition slot and press the start stop button. Thus putting the ignition into position I.
2. Make sure that the trip odometer is displaying setting T2 - red arrow - by toggling through the odometer reset menu until T2 is displayed.
3. Press START/STOP button and remove the remote key thus turning off all accessories.
4. With foot off the brake pedal, insert the remote key into the ignition slot and press the START/STOP ENGINE button turning on all accessories.
5. Press and hold the Trip Odometer Reset button. - red arrow -
6. With foot off brake pedal, continue to hold the odometer reset button. Press and hold the START/STOP ENGINE for approx. 2 seconds, thus putting the ignition in position II.
Note: Upon pressing the Trip Odometer Reset button, the instrument cluster should display "Book Time for Maintenance, Time for Regular Service or "Service Soon" (depicted above)
7. Release the odometer reset button when the information lamp (depicted above) starts to flash.
The instrument panel beeps when (SRI) resetting is has been successful.
