Dashboard

Removal

Note! Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the contact reel for the steering wheel module. Refer to: Steering wheel control module Service and Repair.

Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to: Combined instrument panel Combined Instrument Panel.





Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Remove the center console. Refer to: Floor console, TF-80SC, TF-80SC AWD Floor Console.
Remove the stereo control module. Refer to: General audio player module General Audio Player Module.







Remove the rotary switch for hazard flashers. Refer to: Switch, hazard warning flashers Service and Repair.

Remove the A-pillar panels. Refer to: A-pillar trim panel A-Pillar Trim Panel.
Detach the switch for the air bag on the passenger side and its cable connector.





Torque: M6, 10 Nm







Disconnect the data link connector from the dashboard. Refer to: Data link connector (OBD-II) Service and Repair.





Torque: M6, 10 Nm


Note! This step only applies if the vehicle is equipped with speakers in the dashboard or has a navigation display.

Remove the dashboard speakers. Refer to: Loudspeaker, dashboard Loudspeaker, Dashboard.





Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Remove the glove compartment. Refer to: Glove compartment Glove Compartment.





Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Remove the sun sensor. Refer to: Sun sensor Service and Repair.






Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure
